Frank Jimenez
Founder and Managing Director Frank's vision, integrity and leadership capabilities are a direct result of his seven-year experience in the U.S. Army as a professional Non-Commissioned Officer. He reached the position of Squad Leader while assigned to the 2nd Ranger Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment and received numerous awards and recognition for his contributions and achievements. Transferring his military execution to the business world, Frank was promoted to the Director of Operations within three years after joining one of Hawaii’s top eco-adventure companies. During his ten-year tenure in the hospitality industry, he led his company to win “The Best Places to Work in Hawaii” award for nine consecutive years. As an inspiring leader, Frank is often invited to share his expertise with other companies in the service industry and as a keynote speaker at various conferences. From conflict resolution to streamlining your operations with military precision, Frank is a great resource to have on your side to assess situations swiftly, identify causes of action and follow through. He is passionate about helping other businesses reach their goals, as a mentor and a partner. Frank received a bachelor’s degree in arts from San Francisco Academy of Art College and completed multiple military courses including Ranger School. Born and raised in San Jose, California, Frank lives in Portland and enjoys golfing and poker in his spare time. |
Haydn Zhang
Managing Director Born and raised in Shanghai, Haydn launched her international career after receiving an MBA degree at the University of Oxford in 2005 and has since worked in London for 10 years before relocating to Oregon. She has a track record in delivering growth strategy initiatives, leading transformational changes, and advocating a growth mindset in tackling challenges and uncertainties. Before joining Impact Business Analytics, Haydn was the Director of Oregon Consulting Group at the University of Oregon. Prior to that she worked in leadership positions at a variety of industries including technology, financial services, mining and luxury products in London and Shanghai. |
Brandon Julio
Dr. Julio is the Principal Adviser of University of Oregon Investment Group and a tenured professor in finance at the University of Oregon. Prior to that, he was a faculty member at the London Business School. He received his PhD from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Dr. Julio's research focuses on corporate investment, capital structure, payout policy, and international finance. His consulting experience includes cost of capital estimation for one of the Big Four firms and statistical analysis and valuation in the sports industry. |
Hong Yuan
Dr. Yuan is the Director of Business Research Institute and a tenured professor in marketing at the University of Oregon. Prior to joining UO, she was a professor at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. She received her PhD from the University of Michigan. Her research focuses on many important areas in marketing including firms’ pricing and promotion strategies, consumers’ responses to pricing and promotion strategies, consumer information search, online marketing, retailing, and services. She has advised businesses ranging from start-ups to Fortune-500 companies such as Sears, Dell, Kimberly Clark and SC Johnson. |
Tyler C. Purvis
Research Analyst A veteran of the United States Air Force, Tyler is presently an MBA student at the University of Oregon specializing in Advanced Strategy and Leadership. Tyler holds Masters of Psychology with a concentration in Academic Research in Biological Psychology and is a former lecturer of Psychology and Behavioral Neuroscience at the California State University. He has worked on neuropsychological research and is currently a member of Psi Chi National Honors Society in Psychology, and the Neuromarketing and Science Business Association (NMSBA). |
